Haptik’s Intelligent Virtual Assistant (IVA) for Commerce provides customers with an intuitive
conversational way to discover and shop for products or services. For example, in the context of
shopping for a smartphone, our IVA can help with recommendations (which are the best selfie
phones under 20K / which one is ideal for senior citizens), information (does this mobile support
dash charging / what’s it’s screen size), judgement (how good is it’s camera in low light
conditions / how is it for playing pubg), comparisons (which of these two options is better for
gaming), guidance (how much RAM do I really need / what are the benefits of laser autofocus)
and a variety of other types of customer queries.
What will you do every day?
You will be responsible for the user experience of all Virtual Assistants within Haptik that are
focused on Conversational Commerce or Lead Generation. You should be a first principles
thinker and someone who is obsessed with the cross between human-computer interaction.
This position reports into VP, Technology/Product.
Ok, you're sold, but what are we looking for in the perfect candidate?
Your key responsibilities would be to define design principles, conversational guidelines and
best practices for building virtual assistants for commerce use cases.
Conduct user research sessions to create personas, understand different use-case
scenarios, and accordingly design conversational flows.
Envisage the end user experience of every chat and voice assistant built for commerce
and lead generation solutions.
Develop a practice of intense data-driven iterations and decision making to keep
innovating across products.
Work closely with Product development and NLP teams to understand nuances behind
Keep up with market trends and be a thought leader in the industry.
5-10 years experience in User Experience, Product Design, Human-Computer
Interaction in Digital products companies.
Previous experience in conversational design is a plus.
Previous entrepreneurial experience is a plus.
Graphic designing skills are a plus.
Experience handling a design team, directing work and mentoring staff.
Excellent communication skills a must, both written and verbal.
Self-driven, comfortable with a fast-paced, always-on, highly ambiguous environment.
